About Me
I am so honored to have been the school nurse at Valle Crucis since 2020. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Appalachian State University in 2016 and have been a nationally board certified school nurse since 2022.
My goal is to make sure your child feels safe and has all of their health care needs met at Valle Crucis. I am looking forward to working with you and your child! Please feel free to contact me anytime!
Health Information
Throughout the course of the school year, you may see the school nurses providing the following for your child:
- Assessment and treatment of injuries and illnesses
- Administration of medications
- Healthcare monitoring
- Healthcare screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, height/weight/BMI)
- Medical treatments (wound care, respiratory treatments)
- Chart review including reinforcement and implementation of state laws regarding immunizations and required screening tests
- Student, staff, and parent education
